Maybe you’ve heard that only about 3% of the people trying to make a living on the Internet are successful enough to actually replace the income from their last job.
There are a number of different reasons for this very low success rate, but here are a few that come readily to mind:
- Over the past several years, literally thousands of products have been created to make internet marketing easier. There are tools, systems, educational ebooks, video tutorials, themes, plugins, etc. for sale to the “internet marketer” market.Most of these are sold with the “promise” of making the internet marketer’s job easier, and more profitable. They may (for example) automate some tedious aspect of the business, increase traffic to your site, automate the publishing of ads.
- Most new entrepreneurs on the internet approach it very tentatively. They are just “testing the waters” before committing themselves to this new career path, so they look for the greatest potential for success, with the least investment of time and/or money. This tentative approach gives the new entrepreneur a excuse to throw in the towel when the going gets tough, or things don’t happen as quickly as they would like.
- Current unemployment rates and/or lower salary scales have created a “watershed” of new people (with no training or experience) looking for an alternate source of income.More people embarking on this journey, means there is more competition. It becomes much more difficult to stake a claim and turn your efforts into a profitable online business.
So, a little over 7 months ago, Chris Sutton, Ken Strong, and myself launched a very unique service for online marketing entrepreneurs as a “how-to” resource for internet marketers.

Because internet marketing covers a very wide range of activities, it was obvious that we would have to draw on many different sources to provide the information needed by this huge market. We quickly realized that internet marketing involves so many different disciplines, and there are so many different business models that we were really going to have to draw on more than just our own the expertise to satisfy the needs of the people looking for some serious help with their online endeavors.

We called the new service “Online Business Insiders“, and recruited over a dozen “experts” with proven track records in the various aspects of Internet Marketing to provide mentoring services to the members in a forum setting. This format allows individual members to get help with any specific issues they might have, but also allows other members to benefit from the discussions – maybe solving problems they didn’t even know they had.

Besides the mentoring services, we have aggressively searched out products that we can pass on to our members, with various rights. Some of the products are for their personal use only, and they will use those to learn new skills or as tools in their own businesses. Other products come with PLR rights and members can use them to create unique products of their own, for resale.
